In Malagasy, Tsaravahiny translates as "where strangers are welcome". This centre was established by the ABM organisation to develop rural tourism with the inhabitants of the Menabe country.

My suggestion:
Stay at least one night to discover the village's daily life... an experience full of encounters!
My review

After going through the mythical and majestic baobab path, a 2-mile trail of lovely baobabs leads to the village of Mangily where the centre is located.

It’s a chance to discover all the region's natural, handcrafted riches. You can learn basketry with the women, get acquainted with crabbing, discover the lunar landscape of the saltworks, admire the ornamental richness of the Sakalava Vezo tombs and learn more about their funeral rituals.

A walk or canoe ride in the mangrove will unveil mangrove forests. After a little zebu cart ride and tasting stuffed crab, the sunset over the dunes bordering the village is memorable...
