Located in Yunnan Province, in south-west China, Zhoucheng is one of the largest Bai villages.

My suggestion:
Don't leave the area without buying a batik, which is a dyed cloth with geometric shapes that is made by the women of the region.
My review

Staying in this region presents a unique opportunity to discover a culture that is as fascinating as it is ancient.

The Bai are distinguished by a language that is close to Mandarin, a culture that is based around singing and dancing, and prodigious ability in the art of sculpture. They developed their own architecture to build their houses. Their costumes can be recognized by the combination of white with bright colors and their fine, delicate embroidery.

A visit to Zhoucheng on foot will immerse you in village life. The very busy market is a scenic place that should not be missed. You can admire the Bai-style houses and visit temples.
