I fell in love with the amazing landscapes, the colorful streets of La Paz. Bolivia is still an authentic country which guarantees a complete change of scenery

Tuni is a small Aymara village of the Cordillera Real placed at about 14000 feet above sea level. A three-hour journey from La Paz. It is located between Lake Titicaca and one of the most imposing mountains of the Cordillera: the Condoriri. It has been known to seasoned trekkers for decades but has only recently begun to receive a higher volume of tourists. Thanks to many years of friendship with community members, some of them guides, mule drivers or cooks we have worked with on trips since our agency opened, we have established a partnership which aims to support the Tuni community in the valuation of their traditional Andean culture through the true practice of responsible tourism. Best parts:
Everyone was so flexible and attentive to our goals on our trip and were always willing to do everything they could to accommodate. Wenceslau and Teresa were great.
    Worst parts:
Honestly there's nothing I can really complain about from the standpoint of how the trip was planned, organizers, or run.
    Summary:

We got to spend time with a small village in the mountains to see and learn more about their lives, we spent time at the beautiful salt flats and lucked out with brief good weather for it. And an odd request on our part, they put us in touch and connected with a dog rescue organization in La Paz, which we were so happy to meet and support. A very unique and well planned out trip.See more

    Best parts:
We loved everything in our trip. We visited various cities and landscapes, it was amazing. Definitely the best part was the Uyuni salt flats. We loved it. We had wonderful guides who were passionate, helpful and took us to all good places.
    Worst parts:
Not really worst; but while we had private tours in Bolivia, it was semi-private tours in Atacama, Chile. This is not a complaint. We really loved it; but if they had assembled the tourists with same language in a group, it would have been better. We had people with 3 different languages and the guide had to repeat the same thing 3 different times and we felt we did not get the full picture.
    Summary:
We actually started with wanting to visit the salt flats in Bolivia. As we went through the tour details, we realized about high elevations and wanted to gradually move-up. As we went through the tour details, we realized about high elevations and wanted to gradually move-up. So, we added Santa Cruz and Sucre before moving to La Paz, Titicaca and Uyuni. We are glad we did that as we got acclimatized well, did not fall sick and enjoyed the trip. Wandering through the Bolivian desert and Atacama was really a great trip.See more
