You'll come face to face with a 3,500 metre drop and a frightening 32 kilometre descent if you get too close to the edge.
2. Follow in the footsteps of Tintin and go to the Temple of the Sun
Not far from La Paz, the site of TIwanaku will undoubtedly remind you of Hergé's decoration on the annual "Tintin and the Temple of the Sun". It's easy to organise a visit from the capital or from Lake Titicaca.
3. Hunting down the anaconda
In the very north of Bolivia, starting in Rurrenabaque, you can spend a few days in the pampas and in the jungle. First, if you open your eyes and luck is on your side, you'll see the master of the place, the terrifying anaconda, the largest snake on our planet. The biggest specimens can reach 12 metres in length.
4. Admiring the magnificent landscapes of Salar de Uyuni
In Salar de Uyuni, you're going to be amazed. Be prepared for getting close to these wonders A never ending horizon where the sky seems to merge with what's in the distance, lagoons with unlikely colours, spectacular geysers, and unique and breathtaking scenery. There are no words to properly explain the reality which awaits you.
5. Go and see the mythical Lake Titicaca
Its name will probably have made you laugh in your Geography lessons at school. This lake is mythical. It's the highest navigable lake in the world. It's huge. Make the most of your trip to Bolivia by going and admiring it. You can hop on board a little boat which goes between the islands, and then spend a night in a homestay.
6. Discovering the highest capital in the world
At 4,000 metres above sea level, La Paz is the highest capital in the world. The lack of oxygen forces you to slow your pace, walk slowly, and take breaks. It's perfect. Take the opportunity to open your senses and discover a magnificent city.

The best time to visit Bolivia is the dry season, which runs from April to November. Indeed, between November and April, rainfall is frequent and sometimes heavy. It all depends too on the region you wish to discover: the Altiplano is cool in winter, whilst in the tropical plains the heat is scorching all year round. We'd choose the months from August to October to explore the famous Salar de Uyuni.
