Day 1: Welcome to Sydney!

Stylish Sydney…a cosmopolitan international city filled with vibrant life, character and a sense of daring. The multiculturalism means a wealth of amazing dining experiences. You will also find interesting people, cultural vibrancy and a positive spirit.

Day 2: Yacht cruise on Sydney 

Today, come aboard and experience what it is like to "cruise like a local" on one of the most spectacular harbors in the world, with your local, friendly Australian hosts. Your personalized, tailor-made, 4-hour Sydney Harbour cruising experience will give you the opportunity to swim, fish, kayak, relax or sunbathe, with fabulous sight-seeing opportunities. Included in your tour today is a gourmet Australian BBQ lunch, with regional wines & local beers, plus 5-star service.


Day 3: Sydney Opera House

See inside the world's most recognizable sails. Experience this miracle of architecture and engineering. A work of art that came into existence against impossible odds - to become one of the busiest performing arts centers in the world. Working with new, rich audio-visual components, where images are projected onto the fabric of the building - our guides will take you on an emotional journey, engrossing you in a story to rival any opera plot with its dramatic twists and turns.


Day 4: The Indian Pacific

Sydney to Adelaide, Gold Sleeper Service
Travelling between the Indian and Pacific oceans for over 40 years, this truly is one of the world's great train journeys. From Sydney you will journey through the spectacular Blue Mountains and then through some of Australia's most productive farming country and into the arid outback to Broken Hill. The terrain continues on the picturesque city of Adelaide.

​During the day, the compact Twin Berth Sleeper Cabins offer a comfortable three seater lounge, converting to an upper and lower sleeping berth at night. Your journey will be made even more comfortable with service from our hospitality attendant including fresh sheets, bath towels, pillows and complimentary toiletries. Twin Berth Sleeper Cabins have private en suite facilities with a hide-away compact toilet, wash basin and shower. Day 5: Welcome to Adelaide!

Adelaide, South Australia's capital city, is renowned for its compact size and accessibility. Colonel William Light's vision in 1836 saw the city streets designed in a grid pattern surrounded by parklands. This safe and clean city is only one square mile, yet boasts many distinctive attractions.

Day 6: Flinders Ranges and Outback Mountain Safari

Your guide will pick you up for your small group eco-adventure into the Outback. Head north to Mount Remarkable National Park. Here you will enjoy lunch surrounded by 600 million year old mountain peaks and an abundance of native Australian wildlife. We head out to Warrens Gorge Conservation Park to search for the rare and elusive Yellow-Footed Rock Wallaby. Explore the deserted Willochra Plain on the way to the centre of the Flinders Ranges, stopping at ancient Aboriginal art sites. Enjoy a hearty meal and a good nights sleep in the natural setting of Rawnsley Park Station.


Day 7: Wilpena Pound

Wake up to the call of the native birdlife. Enjoy your breakfast and the morning view of South Australia's iconic Wilpena Pound (also known to the local Aboriginal people as Ikara). Today we explore the unique area that surrounds the Pound. Wildlife including Kangaroos, Emus and the bold Wedge Tailed Eagles are prolific in this rugged area. Travel back to Rawnsley Park via the spectacular Moralana Scenic track following the southwestern wall of Wilpena Pound.

Day 8: Adelaide

Our journey now takes us south through the magnificent Southern Flinders Ranges with its spectacular Red Gum lined creeks to Melrose, the oldest town in the Flinders Ranges. We travel through the old townships of Mid-North South Australia on our way back to Adelaide and stay at the Mayfair Hotel.

Day 9: Barossa Valley Wine tour

This is a personally escorted journey that takes you into and behind the scenes of some of Australia’s finest vineyards. Travel over Jacobs Creeks for your first tasting of the fine wines at the Peter Lehmann winery. We’ll visit Torbreck wine cellars, a small winery with rustic charm, making wines in traditional Barossa methods. Lunch will be alfresco under the vines or at Vintners restaurant just out of Angaston. There will be selected winery visits after lunch before returning to Adelaide late afternoon.


Day 10: Kangaroo Island

You'll fly from Adelaide to Kangaroo Island. On arrival you will be met by your knowledgeable local guide for your Island Life day tour - Explore a red gum forest in the Cygnet River valley - seek out koalas sleeping in the forks of trees. Take a walk through the habitat of kangaroos, tammar wallabies and endangered glossy black cockatoos. After lunch at Seal Bay Conservation Park walk with your guide amongst Australian sea lions on a beautiful sandy beach. Watch pups nursing or playing in the surf, see old bulls scarred by territorial fights and learn of their unique breeding biology. At the conclusion of the tour we take you back to your accommodation, Kangaroo Island Lodge.

Day 11: Kangaroo Island

After breakfast depart for Flinders Chase National Park, a vast wilderness covering the western end of the island, is home to kangaroos, wallabies, possums, goannas, echidnas, koalas, platypus and many birds including rare Cape Barren geese. At Cape du Couedic visit a fur seal colony, which now numbers over 20,000 after being decimated by hunting in the early 1800's. These animals can be observed resting on the rocks or frolicking in the surf under Admiral's Arch, a spectacular grotto. Along the coast explore Remarkable Rocks, huge natural sculptures on the cliff top. Good wines and local produce features highly in our picnic lunch, which we enjoy in the bush before exploring more of the island. At the conclusion of the tour we take you back to your accommodation.

Kangaroo Island

Days 12 to 13: Indian Pacific - Gold Service Sleeper

This morning you'll be transfered to the Kangaroo Island airport for your flight to Adelaide and then transferred to the rail station. The Indian Pacific gives you two oceans on one of the world's longest and greatest train journeys. But most of your cruising will be across the vast continent of Australia. The Nullarbor, where the train travels the world's longest straight stretch of railway track (478 kilometres), see unique landscapes unfold and spot a fascinating array of wildlife from the comfort of the lounge or your cabin.

Day 14: Welcome to Perth!

Australia's largest state, Western Australia is famous for long days of sunshine and diverse landscapes and climates. Enjoy the beach lifestyle and natural parklands of Perth, one of the country's most beautiful cities and the capital of Western Australia. Overlooking the picturesque Swan River and only minutes from the city centre, Hyatt Regency Perth offers all the facilities and service expected of a luxurious, internationally renowned five-star hotel.

Day 15: Margaret River, wine tasting and Cape Leeuwin

Known as one of Australia's finest wine regions, the Margaret River Region is an area also blessed with natural beauty. Providing a diverse range of activities, this tour allows you to experience this high profile Western Australian area in one day. We journey to Xanadu Winery, one of the early established vineyards of the region. Experience a guided tour of Mammoth Cave, one of over 300 natural underground limestone caves in the district.

Traveling south we pass by stunning Boranup Forest, a visual highlight of the region before arriving at Augusta's famous Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, a geographical point of significance marking the dividing point between the Southern and Indian Oceans.

Day 16: Departure

You'll be transfered to the airport for your flight home.
