A 350km trans-Andean road that links Mendoza with Santiago and considered to be one of the most beautiful routes in the world.

My suggestion:
If you're leaving Argentina for Chile, make sure you withdraw enough cash in Mendoza. Cashpoints you find along the way may well be empty.
My review

Another unforgettable experience! I crossed this border via Puente del Inca, after my hike in Aconcagua. I was blown away by the beauty of the Andean landscape from the moment I left Mendoza and the start of the trek in question,

And I was equally impressed when I found myself on the stunning Los Caracoles road. Deep, colourful valleys, snow capped peaks and stretches of road with 180° bends that would delight any rally driver. What's more the entire road is tarmacked and in good condition. If, during your trip to Argentina, you plan to cross the border to reach central Chile, then you must take this route!
