Visit Manyara Lake National Park

NatureTanzania

Set in northeastern Tanzania, around 74 miles from Arusha, Manyara Lake National Park is one of the most beautiful in Tanzania.

If you're interested in observing the park's wildlife, the best time to come on a safari is during dry season between July and October. This is when you'll have the highest chance of spotting giraffes, zebras, gazelles, and baboons, not to mention lions. Near the water, you'll be able to watch pelicans, cormorants, and other local birds putting on an aerial ballet.

If you want to get active, there are a range of easy hikes through the park's dense vegetation or you can go canoeing on Lake Manyara amidst pink flamingos and herons.
