Situated at 30km from Nyaung Shwe, Heho has nothing special on offer other than an airport that was constructed to make access to Lake Inle easier. It's cattle market is worth a quick visit, but that's all there is to do.

My suggestion:
Heho is a transfer city. There's no need to hang around. As soon as you get off the plane, head directly to Nyuang Shwe. It also has a better selection of accommodation.
My review

With the opening of borders a few years ago, international air travel has rapidly developed. Consequently, Heho has become known for its airport and it's only tourist attraction is Lake Inle.

Heho seems to be a town that's function is transfers, transport of goods, an airbase during the Second World War and, today, international transfers. Even so, Heho's market is very pretty and colourful. But, as with many other Burmese markets, don't visit the town for that reason alone!

If you are heading to Lake Inle during a holiday in Burma but not by plane, you won't need to pass through Heho, which really doesn't matter.
