Your group tour

Day 1: Your first day

Welcome to Bhutan; the kingdom of happiness! 

• Your adventure starts in Paro.

• Spend the day exploring your surroundings and take some time to settle in. For example, visit the National Museum to familiarize yourself with the Bhutanese culture and traditions!

• If you have time, hike to Zuri temple. From here you can see spectacles view of the Paro valley

Day 2: From Paro to Thimphu 

• After breakfast drive to Thimphu - make numerous stops on the way to enjoy the beautiful landscapes

• Upon reaching Thimphu, visit the Memorial Chorten, followed by the Buddha stupa overlooking the Thimphu valley which is the largest sitting Buddha in the world!

Visit the local market, a great way to get acquainted with the locals and learn about the ingredients of Bhutanese cuisine.

Day 3: City discoveries and local festivals

• Today, drive to Punakha via Dochula and enjoy the panorama of the Bhutan Himalayas.

• In Dochula, you can spend some time walking around and photographing the 108 Druk Wangyel Chorten, which reflects Bhutan’s spiritual and artistic traditions.

• Later, explore the astonishing Punakha Dzong. Why not take your family for white water rafting in Mo Chu River in Punakha?

• In the evening, attend the small local festival in the picturesque town of Talo. You will witness beautiful dances danced by the lay monks from the village!

Day 4: Punakha to Phobjikha valley

• In the morning, put your best shoes on and head out for a hike in the picturesque valley of Chhi- med Lhakhang

• Then, take your family for white water rafting in Mo Chu River in Punakha. 

• In the afternoon, drive to Phobjikha (2h).

• This part of the drive is very beautiful! you will be crossing streams, waterfalls, prayer flags, yaks with their herders and picturesque villages!

Day 5: Phobjikha valley to Paro via Punakha and Thimphu

•  From the hotel drive back to back to Lawa la pass, from where you will be taken for a breathtaking hike called the Gangtey 360°.

•  You will set off on a 45-minute hike up towards the meditation cliff at 3,400m. The hike takes you up a sloping lined pathway, through towering bushes of jade-hued bamboo. 

• Later, continue and drive to Paro.

Day 6: Beautiful paro spring festival

• In the morning drive towards Paro for less than 2 hours and attend to one of the most beautiful and popular festivals in Bhutan.

• The Tshechu (festival) is a religious event celebrated on tenth day of a month of the lunar calendar corresponding to the birthday of Guru Rinpoche. In addition, Tshechu also includes colorful Bhutanese dances and other forms of entertainment.

• Later in the evening, check in to your accommodation. Paro is famous for its variety of foods, dumplings either from meat or cheese, greens, datsi (cheese) and chili with different combinations of vegetables and other ingredients. Or, try archery - the national game of Bhutan. 


Day 7: Excursion to Takshang

• After breakfast, drive 15 minutes to the starting point in order to hike to Takshang Monastery (the “Tiger’s Nest”). 

• Visited and sanctified by Guru Rinpoche, this place is one of the most venerated pilgrimage sites in the Himalayan world.  Over the years, many great Buddhist masters have visited and meditated here. 

• In the afternoon, free time in the town.

Day 8: Last day

• Transfer from your hotel to the airport!
