Located at a distance of 160 km from Arusha, which is about three hours by road, is Ngorongoro, a 20 km diameter crater and home to the greatest concentration of animals in the world.

My suggestion:
Try especially to see the sunrise and sunset there.
My review

Is it possible to arrange a trip to Tanzania without including a safari? The answer is apparently no. The classic route normally offered takes you from Lake Manyara to Tarangire via the Serengeti and the wonderful, legendary Nogorongoro.

We really are talking about something amazing here. Once within the crater, it's like Walt Disney. It's as if you're right in the action of the Lion King cartoon. Going more than 30 seconds without seeing an animal is impossible. Lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, rhinoceros – the big five are all here. Wildebeest and zebra roam by the thousands through this wonderful, Garden of Eden like landscape.

Ngorongoro is an essential trip for every traveler to make in their lifetime. You'll be able to confirm that there really is a paradise on earth when you leave here.

Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unfilled caldera In the world. This volcanic depression is a must-see stop when on safari in northern Tanzania. The topography and biodiversity here are unbelievable.

My suggestion:
Bring along a good pair of binoculars for animal watching.
My review

Our visit to Ngorongoro Crater is one of our most memorable travel souvenirs . Nature lovers, we really got an eyeful. On the one hand, the view on the crater is unbelievable and moreover, it is very easy to observe an abundant fauna. Not only zebras, lions, gnus, but also cheetahs and rhinoceros cohabit this wide space of land. A childhood dream came true for us that day.

What surprised us was the apparent calm that reigns here, lions walk between antilopes without a murderous chase taking place (for now...). The four-wheel drives try to keep their distance from the animals so as not to disturb them. We advise you to bring along a good pair of binoculars or to check that your agency will supply you with one. For photos, make provision for the necessary equipment. We strongly recommend that you include this place in your safari organised in Tanzania , an unforgettable moment without a shadow of doubt.
