The Malabar Coast stretches along the Laccadive Sea to the south west of India, running from Goa to Cape Comorin.

My suggestion:
When there, make sure you visit a little pearl of a village on the Malabar Coast, called Gokarna in the state of Karnataka.
My review

This Laccadive coastline is one of the most beautiful regions in India. It's white, sandy beaches are the perfect place to take a relaxing vacation during a trip to India.

But the area also has a rich and intense cultural heritage, notably in Kerala and Karnataka. There are plenty of arts and crafts to discover, not least Kathakali dancing and Kalarippayattu, a full contact martial art.

If you have several weeks to do so, I suggest you tour the entire coast (by bus, car or motorbike) from Goa to the southern tip. It's an amazing journey!
