The village of Kibber is located in the extreme east of Himachal Pradesh and sits deep within the mountainous and arid valley of Spiti.

My suggestion:
Buy some yak cheese. It's delightful!
My review

I stopped off at the charming village of Kibber, 4200 meters up in the Himalayas, on a motorbike trip through India. It felt like being on another planet!

It is said to be the highest village in the world that can be accessed by road and consists of around one hundred wooden houses sitting perched on the slopes. The majestic, mountainside monastery at Kibber, with its prayer flags blowing in the wind, is absolutely superb.

The desert valley of Spiti all around is breathtakingly beautiful. I slept in a tent facing the monastery, feeling as if I was the only person in the world amid that wonderful scenery: an unforgettable experience that I'll remember forever.
