Mandvi, on the Gujarat coast in northwest India, is famous for its shipyard.

My suggestion:
Exploring the ships and the insides of these huge wooden naval structures.
My review

Mandvi is one of the cities that has impressed me the most, out of all the trips that I've had the chance to take so far. Away from the usual tourist routes, it's an astonishing place to discover when on a trip to India.

I remember this huge open air shipyard, its incredible wooden boat structures, and all the carpenters who were so precise and passionate.

Mandvi's beach is especially large and beautiful. We were all alone on the fine sand and we had seen a spectacular sunset, and we ate at a little restaurant on the beach.

This is a place I'd recommend for people who want to get off the beaten path and get to know the locals and who have the luxury of taking their time while on their trip.
