Upon arrival to airport meet our representative and transfer to Tel Aviv.
Discover the city by walking around on your own (self guided). Start by going to Rotschild Boulevard, one of the main streets in Tel Aviv and full with Bauhaus-style buildings. Here you will find Independence Hall, the location where Israel’s Independence was declared on May 14th, 1948.
Continue to Rabin Square. Here you will find the City Hall of Tel Aviv and a memorial on the location where Israel’s Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated on November 4th, 1995. Continue to the House of David Ben Gurion, the very first Prime Minister of the State of Israel who declared its independence on that faithful May 14, 1948.
After this, you will drive down the Tel Aviv promenade or Tayelet along its famous beaches towards the center of Old Jaffa. This ancient city is from where the Jewish population left over 100 years ago to establish Tel Aviv a few kilometers away and now is a part of this new city. Known from the bible as Joppa, this area has been around for centuries and has become a thriving neighbourhood of the multicultural Tel Aviv.
Be picked up by your guide for a day tour to Jerusalem. On the way, you will hear about the history of Israel and the Jewish people. After about an hour you arrive at the Mount of Olives from which you will have a magnificent view of the Old City of Jerusalem and the very first city; the City of David. Go down towards Gethsemaneh, the place of the Judas kiss and the arrest of Jesus by the Romans. From the valley continue to the Old City.
Walk on foot through the Jewish, Armenian, Christian and Muslim quarters of the Old City. Here we will visit the Temple Mount (NOT possible on Fridays and Saturdays), the Wailing Wall, the Roman Cardo, part of the Via Dolorosa and Golgotha, the place of the crucifixion, in the Holy Sepulcher.
If you wish to do some shopping in the souks of Jerusalem, please inform your guide and he will be happy to assist with this. After the touring, you will return to your Tel Aviv Hotel.
Today, you get a specialized tour of the graffiti hot spots of Tel Aviv. The city is becoming one of the most culturally rich cities in the Middle East in several aspects - one of them is alternative contemporary art.
