Day 1: Arrival Guatemala City

A representative from Martsam Travel will meet you at Guatemala City Airport and will take you to your hotel in Antigua Guatemala.

Day 2: Antigua Walking tour

After breakfast it is time for our journey to visit ruins, churches and museums.  In this city the stories and legends of the colonial times are still present along with the old paved streets; you will visit La Merced Church, Convent Las Capuchinas, local craft market and Central Park.

Free afternoon by your own.

Day 3: Enjoying Pacaya volcano

The Pacaya volcano is one of the three active volcanoes in Guatemala, located in the municipality of San Vicente Pacaya, in the province of Escuintla. It has an elevation of 2,552 meters above sea level (8,373 ft.) and is one of the most recommended volcano hikes due to its easy ascent and spectacular views of the volcanic chain.

Our tour begins with a morning transfer from Antigua Guatemala (1 hour) towards the foothills of the active Pacaya volcano.

This volcano hike will take 1.5 hours. Approximately and requires a moderate effort. Take note that is possible to rent a horse at the entrance of the park.

Our path will take us through a pine forest, where you will get to volcanic ash and finally reach the cone. From the top you can enjoy excellent views of the volcanoes at the North; the lowlands of the Pacific coast and El Salvador.  After enjoying our volcano adventure tour, you will return to the foothills to get back to your hotel.

Day 4: Discover incredible colorful landscapes into the heart of Guatemalam highland

You will be met at your hotel by your private driver & guide for your transfer out to Lake Atitlan.

Get ready to begin your trip towards the heart of the Guatemalan highland, driving through incredibly colorful landscapes. You will head to Chichicastenango to enjoy the multicolored market, where the scent of incense and the people's mysticism promises a unique atmosphere, bargaining of prices, and a church with mixed Mayan and Catholic traditions.

A unique market where only in Sunday and Thursday shows up to offer all kinds of goods to locals and visitors.

After the tour you will be transferred to Lake Atitlán area.

Day 5: Scenic boat ride across Lake Atitlan

This morning you will take a scenic boat ride across Lake Atitlan (30min) to the village of San Juan La Laguna where you can visit the women’s textile cooperative to see hand weaving and the natural dye process. Visit the studios / homes of the celebrated naïf painters, and the then continue to Santiago Village. After lunch you will continue your tour to the village visiting the Maya God Maximon and learn about the textiles, spiritualism and beliefs of the T’zutujil Maya. Each year a different "brotherhood" has the privilege of taking care of their God, therefore, his location change.

After the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 6: Visit the beautiful Maya Cakchiquel

After breakfast you will be meet by your driver for your transfer to Guatemala City Airport. On the way you will visit Iximche in Tecpán. Iximché was a Maya Cakchiquel city founded in 1463, less than a century before the arrival of the Spaniards, which played a decisive role in the Spanish conquest of this region of Guatemala. In gentle pine forests, you see the traces of this city. Even today, its four ceremonial plazas with their temples and ball court host worship ceremonies for the gods.

After visiting Iximche you will be transferred to Guatemala City Airport take a flight to Flores. Upon arrival, ground transfer to your hotel.

Day 7: Tikal guided tour

After breakfast, a representative from Martsam Travel will be waiting for you at the hotel reception to transfer you Tikal National Park.You will enjoy a guided tour thorough the paths and main areas of the most important city of the Mayan World. Here you will find that nature and archaeology are wonderfully blended. You will be able to see abundant wildlife, the Mayan forest, millennial temples silent witnesses of the birth and splendor as well as of the collapse of one of the most important civilizations in the planet, all this is in our visit to Tikal, The City of the Voices.

Night at Isla de Flores (Flores)

Day 8: Amazing tour at Yaxha national Park

After breakfast, a representative will be waiting for you at the hotel reception for your transfer to Yaxha National Park. 

You will walk through their causeways under an exuberant tropical forest, where howling monkeys flood the atmosphere with their howls to impress the females or to move away an intruding male in their flock. You will climb some temples that are the photographers' accomplices, as they offer wonderful views. You will conclude the day in the high part of the temple 216, the highest structure in the place, where we will enjoy an unforgettable evening listening to the birds sing.

After the tour you will be transferred to Melchor de Mencos (Guate/Belize border) where a representative will be waiting outside Belize border to transfer you to the hotel.

Day 9: Discover the Stone Sepulcher of Aktun Tunichil Muknal

Today you will be transferred to Aktun Tunichil Muknal Site, the “Cave of the Stone Sepulcher" is one of the most impressive caves in the Maya Lowland.

Upon arrival you will be outfitted in the necessary equipment for the Caving Adventure. For 3 hours climbing and caving activities will be essence you will enjoy.

You will be delighted with this amazing cave which comprises of a cave system with a series of chambers, ending in a 300 by 50-meter Cathedral where sacrificial ceremonies once took place. Where you will be able to travel into the Mayan past and witness a living museum where the human sacrifices and artifacts can be viewed in their original context. Later on an exciting drive to the trail ahead, a 45 minutes trek through the dense Jungle in the Tapir Mountain Nature Reserve and wade across three streams, learning about the plants and animals of the Jungle will be an important activity.

After the tour you will return to the hotel.

Day 10: Explore the Cahal Pech Archaeological Site

You will be transferred to Cahal Pech Archaeological Site. Upon arrival to the site you will start the archaeological exploration in one of the oldest Mayan ruins on the planet, vivid with a contrast between the town and the jungle that makes your journey an idle experience while you enter in an atmosphere where life remains in its natural state and antique monuments become the silent testimony of a dynamic civilization that once existed.

After Cahal Pech tour you will visit Xunantunich Archaeological Site, which is located across the green crystalline waters of the Mopan River; it's the largest ceremonial center in the Belize River Valley, located on a natural limestone ridge providing a fantastic panoramic scene of the surrounding of the country from its hilltop location.

You will enjoy your tour through one of the most important sites in Belize, dating with an essentially classic period ceremonial centre with three ceremonial plazas enclosed by house mounds, pyramids, and palaces, the largest decorated castle with stucco friezes and masks of Classic style.

In the evening transfer back to the hotel.

Day 11: Incredible cave tubing at Jaguar Paw

Today you will be transferred to Jaguar Paw to enjoy cave tubing (approx. 1.5 hrs.).

Cave tubing is one of the most electrifying and rejuvenating adventures you can experience in Belize, while becoming one with the country's natural and cultural aspects.

Enter the exciting world of rivers disappearing into the underworld as you float on inner tubes with only your headlamp to light your way. Enjoy floating past side windows that filter the jungle light through the mist as you swirl around stalagmites jutting from the river and stalactites looming from above. Float past underground waterfalls then into the crystal cathedral, a spiritual center to the ancient Maya.

Coming out of the underground cave system and into the bright green jungle with white cliffs is an incredible sight which people have to experience firsthand.

After the tour you will continue to Belize City where you will take a collective water taxi to Caye Caulker. Upon arrival, take a golf cart to your hotel which is about 3 blocks from the ferry station (golf cart not included).

Day 12: Hol Chan Tour

Today a representative will meet you at the hotel reception to start an interesting day trip in one of the most popular diving/snorkeling sites in Belize, Hol Chan Marine reserve where the guides will show you around this spectacular snorkel area.

Hol Chan is protected as a marine sanctuary hosting a dazzling array of tropical fish. Then you will head on sailing to Shark Ray Alley where you encounter sharks and rays in their natural habitat. An adventure through sea grass beds, the mangroves, the reef and the shark ray alley all in one with a diversity of marine life in this 7.8 sq kms of reserve.

The Shark Ray Alley is a shallow water snorkel where you will enjoy swimming with the harmless nurse sharks and southern famous stingrays.

After the tour you will be transferred back to the hotel.

Transfer to the station by your own, take the ferry heading to Belize City.

Upon arrival to Belize City a representative will be waiting for you for your transfer to Belize City International Airport on time to catch your flight back home.
