Having traveled with Evaneous Travel to Costa Rico last year, I went directly to them this year for a trip to Guatemala. I was traveling with my son who was on break from grad school. I wanted to get him as far away from school and stress as possible. We decided to travel to Guatemala. The local agency is a travel company Evaneous works with. They were the most organized tour company I have ever traveled with. Mary in the office, David R. -our guide- Mr. Edgar, our driver, all wonderful and knowledgeable people.
Best parts:
Our local agency was SO professional to work with! Their guides, drivers and office coordination could not have been any better. Our personal guide, David R., was the best guide I have ever had the pleasure of working with. They truly customized my trip for MY wants and needs. 5 stars to the local agency!
Worst parts:
I have absolutely no complaints.

Destination: Part of a total trip to Central America. Did not want to deal with my own planning so opted to use a tour agency. Why Evaneos: Liked the flexibility, schedule, semi independent nature, and pricing.
Best parts:
Very well organized, friendly and knowledgeable drivers and guides, good English, some flexibility in the schedule - no just go go go, accommodations better than expected. I was impressed with the trip booklet that was provided, it was very detailed and a great tool to have for each location.
Worst parts:
None - the trip exceeded all expectations!

Had always wanted to tour South and Central America. Guatemala was a must and were very pleasantly surprised. Never thought I would go up a volcano by taxi! Even if the taxi had four legs and a tail. Loved every minute of it.
Best parts:
Extremely well organised, the pace was just right, the guides were brilliant. Lorena was great, made the correct recommendations and provided us with a really great driver. Only one bad point, having to leave Guatemala!
Worst parts:
Absolutely nothing.

I’ve just returned from Guatemala (my tenth time in about 45 years) as your client, for one week in early November, 2017. Evaneos, and Mary, the local agent, provided me with superb, caring service. They looked after me really well. I booked a private tour, with emphasis on seeing new things. I was concerned that the guide might not be a great one, and such a disappointment that would be. However, the guide, was splendid! He did everything in his power to give me virtually the trip of a lifetime and he succeeded. The food at the restaurants was excellent, Gallo beer likewise. The people were friendly and happy to play with my wonderful toy, a Power Bar that lit when held by 2 people. Again, I found the guide, Eli, to be a wonderful companion and conversationalist. Having spent years in the US, we had no communication problems. And yes, the food and accommodations were fine. I had received a new hip half a year ago and am not fully recovered. I was taken up on horseback and it was awkward as the horse owner wouldn’t lengthen the stirrups. On the way down it was too dangerous so I got off the horse and 2 guides supported me carefully for about 2 kms.
Best parts:
The guide, Eli, brought me to a village celebrating 'Day of the Dead' where all the tombs are covered with flowers – and among the graves are young men flying kites like I’d never seen before. Some kites on display were about round, colourful, and about 13 meters in diameter. I had a 4-meter kite crash in front of me. Lots of laughter! On another day, we climbed to a viewpoint overlooking smouldering Volcan Pacaya. Quite a sight!

We did a two week tour around Guatemala with 28 people, visiting the highlights of the country. We were in Antigua, Panajachel, Livingstong , Flores and Tikal. There were so many memorable moments! The views were amazing, the attention we got everywhere was first class.
Best parts:
There was always someone waiting for us , the drivers were really punctual. The views from the hotels were greatl, the roadbook we got fron the agency was very helpful and complete. Overall, the service Lorena gave us was outstanding!
Worst parts:
There was only two little problems duiring the whole trip: 1. because of pollitical instability in the country, a road trip that should have taken 6 hours, took almost 14 hours. 2. The hotel in Peten was not the most helpful, their service was a little lacking, and some of the guests got sick eating the food there. Other than that, everything was perfect!
