Narrow streets and picturesque houses, Serifos perfectly represents the Cycladic myth. I went there for two days in October. During that season, there's not a soul on the streets. Yet there was! Lots of cats. But no tourists. Deserted streets with an undeniable charm where you can take beautiful photos ready to be hung on your white walls.
Boats arrive in Livadi, the main town on Serifos. It's not the most interesting part of the island, but just a ten minute drive away there are beautiful beaches as well as charming and authentic villages like Chora, Panagia and Megalo Livadi. History lovers can explore the ruins of Kastro while taking in a truly breathtaking view. The Taxiarchis monastery is a must-see while on holiday in Greece's Cyclades.
