Sifnos is a little like the postcard you have in your head when you visit the Cyclades during a trip to Greece. White houses with blue roofs, cobbled alleys, both a casual and elegant atmosphere, Sifnos isn't short on charm. Between monasteries, hiking trails and beaches, this little Greek island will seduce every visitor.
Boats arrive in Kamares, the main town on the island. There you'll find several pottery boutiques to buy souvenirs and very good restaurants. From there, I was able to visit charming villages such as Apollonia and Artemonas. Sifnos has numerous beaches, including Plati Gialos, the longest sandy beach in the Cyclades. Finally, on the hiking side of things, I took the path which leads to Mount Prophitis Ilias from Apollonia. Bonus: a breathtaking panorama of the neighbouring islands.
