Prepare yourself for a 'Russian Mountains' type trip when you're travelling along the Troll's Footpath which winds around the mountain.

My suggestion:
The best advice I can give you is: don't panic! If you come across a fifteen ton truck, they know how to overtake. Take your time and enjoy the amazing views. The road is closed in the winter.
My review

Driving in a foreign country isn't always easy, but in Norway it's not the drivers or the traffic which are the problem, it's the condition of the roads themselves. I now find it impossible to imagine what it must have been like before, when it was the only way to get from one place to another.

We arrived at a gentle pace one fabulous summer day taking full advantage of the view and the amazing scenery in this part of Norway. We did panic a bit when an articulated lorry was coming straight on towards a line of cars coming down the road. Fortunately our driver remained calm and got out the way enough to let the lorry manoeuvre!

This road is better known as Trollstigen in Norwegian and is scattered with rest areas allowing drivers to take a break from time to time. I would highly recommend that you see the Trollstigen Plateau which offers an amazing view and a bit of a challenge to anyone who doesn't like heights.
