The best time to travel to Morocco is Spring or Autumn, when the temperatures are at their most pleasant. In the summer, temperatures can be stifling and winter does not show Morocco's charms so well, especially as it can rain in the North. If you handle heat well or if you go to the mountains, you can also travel between May and September.
As mentioned, we enjoyed all of the places we visited, Chefchaouen, Fes, Meknes, Vollubilis, Merzouga, Ait Ben Haddou, Imlil and Marrakech. They were all unique in one way or another. Talking to the locals was especially enjoyable. It was easier to do in the high Atlas than the big cities.

The trip was fantastic and we loved the journey. Our favorite day was a hike up in the Atlas mountains, eating lunch in a Berber house and a fantastic guide that day.

I did a road tip from North to South of Morocco. I landed in Tangier, went to Chefchaouen, Fes, Volubilis, Moulay Idriss, the Sahara desert, Kashbah Ait be Haddou, Mekness and Marrakesh.
