We began our trip with a few days in Marrakesh, followed by some trekking through the Atlas Mountains. We were driven to the Sahara desert, stopping to see Ait Ben Haddou, Dades and Todra Gourges...and many more delightful stops along the way. After two nights in the desert, we retraced our steps to Marrakesh before returning home. Morocco was a land that had been calling me to it - without explanation - for years. Despite the amazing natural landscapes and tremendous food experiences, my lasting impression of Morocco was how warm and kind the people were. Perhaps the best examples of which we found in our local travel agent, Nawfal and our local driver, Mohammed. Nawfal had deep knowledge of Morocco, but more importantly, a mastery of human connection and relationships. We had only a rough idea of what we hoped for on this trip, but no idea if our hopes were achievable. Nawfal treated us with utmost respect as we went back and forth together over weeks identifying options. Along the way, Nawfal discovered the way that we liked to travel, what was most important to us...even the style of accommodations that fit us personally. We went through an embarrassing number of iterations to design our dream trip. Throughout the planning process, Nawfal met every change with grace and understanding - there seemed to be no end to his patience! Our trip to Morocco validated how well Nawfal had listened to us throughout every conversation. Taking careful note of our every concern and preference. The accommodations and experiences seemed hand-tailored to fit us perfectly. My only regret is that Nawfal isn't available to plan and arrange our trips to other countries as well. I can't imagine a better ambassador than him to welcome us on our first trip to Morocco and our first trip with Evaneos. Mohammed - our driver - was brilliant at tending to our every need along the way. He always found the balance between giving us space when we needed it and engagement when we needed that. He offered us choices along the way that were too small to make a guide book, but surprised and delighted us every time! He quickly got to know us and our preferences for how we liked to travel...stopping for any reason: coffee, food, carpet shopping, taking pictures of goats along the side of the road. He had our playlists streaming from the van speakers and made sure that we ate at the best places we would have never found by ourselves. He kept a close eye on our safety and comfort, stepping in delicately before language or currency could become a problem. He provided us tips and cultural explanations that helped us navigate and understand every day. At the end of our trip, he felt like a distant friend or relative that we hope to see again one day.
The best parts:
Marrakesh was everything I had hoped for - a sensory explosion that delighted the eyes, ears and nose. While there we enjoyed a brilliant cooking class, wandering the medina, markets, searching for handmade treasures and deep exotic spices. Each night we fell asleep in our gorgeous Riad and spoiled every morning by its attentive staff with delicious rooftop breakfasts. We were not disappointed. Dades Gorge was stunning to walk through, and small enough to have it all to ourselves - perhaps we were lucky, but it felt like a fantasy of nature, red rock, blue sky and vivid colors on intimate display for just the two of us. Our accommodation there was home to one of the most impressive culinary experiences of the trip...and we had many great meals. It was such a surprise to find a meal in such a remote location that would compete well against some of my favorite restaurants in capital cities around the world. The Sahara desert offers some magical moments at sunrise, sunset and if you're lucky...when the sky darkens to reveal a million sparkling jewels above. I will not soon forget staring at the stars from the top of a dune, with a belly full of lamb tajine, while listening to the sounds of tribal musicians and camels in the distance.
The worst parts:
We didn't click with our guide in the Atlas mountains. Nawfal made it very clear that he would arrange another one if we had any problems - but we decided to give our guide another chance. We felt comfortable and safe, but his English language skills and personality were not a good fit for us.

Dear Ted & Agneta :) It is a great pleasure to hear more details about your trip to Morocco. I am very happy about how much you enjoyed your holiday and that we were eventually both able to meet and understand each other. I would also like to thank you for the time you have spent search for further details and aspects of Morocco, and I am still impressed by the time, effort and interest you have shared with me while preparing the itinerary. Once more, I can not express to you how joyful and great was our process of putting your trip together and its heartwarming to know that everything went according to plan! Thank you so much for sharing with us your experience and the lovely pictures. And I hope to see you soon in the future :) Your friend from Morocco!

As mentioned, we enjoyed all of the places we visited, Chefchaouen, Fes, Meknes, Vollubilis, Merzouga, Ait Ben Haddou, Imlil and Marrakech. They were all unique in one way or another. Talking to the locals was especially enjoyable. It was easier to do in the high Atlas than the big cities.
The best parts:
We especially enjoyed the treks in Chefchaouen and Imlil which allowed us to see the beautiful countryside and interact with the local people in a relaxed setting. Meeting people was a highlight of the trip. We had an especially enjoyable interaction with a man working at Ait Ben Haddou who showed us his Unesco sponsored renovation work and invited us to relax in an area with a marvelous view.
The worst parts:
We enjoyed seeing all of the locations but in retrospect might have spent less time in the Fes Medina. It was interesting to see it but it was also very commercial.
Hakim
Dear Steve, Thank you so much for your prompt feedback! I can not express how great it is to hear that on an overall you enjoyed your vacation. I am glad to hear that adding both trekkings in Imlil and Chefchaouen was enjoyable for you! along the rest of your tour. I believe that the main purpose of the trip was achieved. Knowing that you got to do it all is a great pleasure :) Warmest regards from Morocco!

The trip was fantastic and we loved the journey. Our favorite day was a hike up in the Atlas mountains, eating lunch in a Berber house and a fantastic guide that day.
The best parts:
The best part of our trip was our driver. He was so easy to talk to, friendly and extremely helpful along the way to make little adjustments and translations to help our family.
The worst parts:
The worst part was being over scheduled, trying to do too much in one day. Our tour organizer should have taken travel time, hotel check in and time to eat breakfast into our daily plan.
Hakim
Dear Lisa, Thank you so much for sharing with me your valuable feedback. It was a great honor to be your local specialist and to plan your trip to my country. I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed your driver's services, I must agree that it is a great added value for the trip especially regarding any adjustments and flexibility. I really appreciate your comment regarding the itinerary schedule, I will make sure to keep your comment in mind and I'll most definitely consider your comments while preparing itineraries for my clients. I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed your trip and that you had a wonderful time in my country :) Warmest regards from Morocco!

I did a road tip from North to South of Morocco. I landed in Tangier, went to Chefchaouen, Fes, Volubilis, Moulay Idriss, the Sahara desert, Kashbah Ait be Haddou, Mekness and Marrakesh.
The best parts:
I can not express my gratitude Nawfal my trip specialist. Everything work out so well and on schedule. I felt safe the whole trip with the drivers, mostly Mr. Mimoun that was also a guide as well. As a single female, it was imperative to have someone with me and guiding me since it does get overwhelming in Morocco and the men are aggressive, but I was so glad that I had good company and they went the extra mile to protect me. The young people that guide me in each of their cities were so friendly, knowledgeable and kind. I never felt alone, actually it felt that I was with friends the whole time. The night in the desert was definitely an experience of a life time. The group at the camp were also fantastic. The accommodations were beautiful and coming from a story book. Most places had breakfast or their own restaurant that served authentic Moroccan food which was amazing. Everything was planed perfectly by my local agent to the smallest detail, even to the point of sending a specific handbook to teach me about currency, how to dress, how to tip, and culture differences. I am so happy. I will definitely book my next trip with Nawfal and I will recommend him to my friends that are already asking since I uploaded my pictures on Facebook and it has been very well received. Keep up the great work. That is what made my trip unforgettable.
The worst parts:
I would recommend an extra guide for the evening in some of the cities such as Marrakesh that can be a little dangerous for a single woman to be walking by herself.
Hakim

No one will ever know your travel style! It changes due to airline availability, level of food and board, adventure style, number of people traveling, timing... Get my drift? Evaneos.com recommended travel expert Brahim for us. From the first inquiry  Brahim who spoke and wrote perfect english was on it. We started planning our journey and while we had read a little he knew so much more. You're planning in summer? Please postpone, it can be 120s south of the mountains, desert and valleys. Multiple family members from different global positions, no worries, he'll plan the pickups, overnight accommodations and departures.Enjoy adventure and personal/family time, lol, he will include them. Guides, done. All was easily communicated and updated with links to a grander travel plan allowing modifications, and personal nuances.     One thing we couldn't realize we're the distances from point-to-point.  Our carefully selected driver Rashid spoke English having been educated in Morocco and desirous to explain and explore the uniqueness of his country with tourism in mind. A 7 seat spotless minivan for the 4 of us to sleep or watch the tiered verdant valleys, rough Rif mountains, valleys, plains and buttes, desert oases and gorges ending in the majestic peak of the Atlas mountains was perfectly selected. Not one 'control-stop' by the 'guardians' of the state in this King led monarchy occured to check the vehicle or personal papers occured. Timing for stops for coffee or tea and typical Moroccan egg sandwiches, salads and tagine lunch's; exploring lively ancient Medinas, saharan Berber and Muslim kasbas, scarf shopping before our camel ride (and sand storm), who to visit and where; Imperial cities and holy towns, Roman ruins, Imperial Cities and hikes over the Rif, through Toda oasis, Toudra and Dades Gorge, over the Ziz river oasis, tiny clean and modest dars, splendid riads, magnificent kasbahs, guided tours of cities, medinas, suggested restaurants and eateries, cautions and so much more were  choreagaphed by Brahim and his talented Band of Brothers! Brahim or a cohort was available to arrange modifications as needed due to personal tastes, delays and just life among the great mix of Berbers, Muslim, Christians and Jews with African, Middle Eastern, Maghreb and Iberian-Moorosh blends emanating from the first born homo sapiens of our 'modern' (70,000) year anthrocene.  Brahim and all the layers he worked with above and below him were great. We recommend him and his recommendations without reservation. 5 stars plus!
The best parts:
Based on our very adventurous desires, we we're met everywhere with enthusiasm, smiles, humility and hard work in a blended culture and land disrupted by 50 plus thousands of years of turmoil. Each day was met with a very focused but flexible itinerary created by Brahim of Orien Trek and his capable staff. Learning the geography, history, language and personal stories were great.
The worst parts:
The long car rides while reasonably comfortable in our spotless 7 seater van made many days tough, but the stops along the way were helpful.

We arrived in Marrakech for 2 days and then we went to Imlil to hike a bit. Then we went to Essaouira to surf and enjoy the beach.
The best parts:
The landscape, the food, the jardin Majorelle, Jardin secret, Atlas, Essaouira
The worst parts:
People who are always trying to rip us off just because we are tourists.
Brahim
Dear Alexander, first of all, I would like to thank you for sharing with me your experience. Based on your feedback, I understand that in an overall, you enjoyed your trip, I am sorry to hear you felt that people were trying to rip you off which was the worst part of your trip. I hope that it didn't make your trip memorable and that you still enjoyed your vacation :) Best regards,

None of us really knew what to expect from our time in Morocco but we were pleasantly surprised by how safe we felt every single minute of the day. Of course we had heard the stories of the markets..... how crowded and out of control they could feel, but perhaps we chose a great time of year - never once did we feel scared, worried or upset. We loved every minute of the market and the country. Marrakech provided us with what we felt was the most ancient part of Morocco, Fez a bit more modern - but still very ancient and finally Casablanca provided us with a view of the modern side of the country. The topography surprised us - from dessert like, to pure dessert with the Sahara to groves of pines trees and very green Fez. In all of that we saw Nomads, sheep herds wandering the fields, agriculture on a small scale and larger scale. A beautiful country, offering beautiful views, and incredible history and wonderful people.
The best parts:
We liked every minute of our trip through Morocco. From the moment we connected with Evaneos and Brahim connected with us, we felt that our trip was in good hands. Brahim was responsive to our wants and questions. From the moment we stepped off the plane in Marrakech to the checking in at the hotel in Casablanca we were happy. We wished we had more time along the way but the time constraint was ours so that is our problem. Our accomodations in the Riads inside the Medina's were amazing.. who knew what was behind those doors - an oasis and wonderful service and staff. Our guides through the markets in Marrakech and Fez were knowledgeable about their country and the people. We could have never learned what we did on our own. Our driver for 3 days deserves an extra special mention - Rachid... he was kind, generous, full of knowledge, had a great sense of humor and was a great driver. We felt safe in his care. To top it all of he is also an great photographer and we got many great pictures of our time together from him.
The worst parts:
Nothing was bad. If I had to pick one thing it would be that we were disappointed that we were the only 4 people in the camp in the dessert. We had hoped to meet other travellers and the entertainment put on by the staff after dinner would have been way more fun for them and us if there were more people. I am sure that was out of our tour planners control however.
Brahim
dear Rick, I hope you are doing well. I don't believe that I can express how happy I am to know that you enjoyed your stay in my country. It was a great experience for me as well to be your local agent and to work together on your trip. Thank you so much for sharing with us pictures of your trip. It is always great to hear from you. The whole experience.
The best parts:
The trip was exceptional, we have traveled extensively and this was one of the best experiences. There was no part of the trip that did not excite us.All guides, drivers, Riads the desert were fantastic. Would I recommend you? You bet. My thanks to the team especially Nawfal who helped me with the lost baggage which had nothing to do with you.
The worst parts:
Leaving Morocco.

We really enjoyed our trip through Morocco with a private driver. Highlight was the camel ride and overnight in the sand dunes.. After a while there seemed a lot of repletion in the type of sights at each city, with their medinas, casbahs, palaces, souks, tangines, Jewish quarters, mosques, etc, and in hindsight it would have been nice to include a bit of the modern Morocco. A beautiful country!
The best parts:
We booked a 9 day Morocco private tour through Evaneos and their local agent Brahim. Booking was smooth with help from Brahim. In Morocco we had a question and Brahim resolved it right away. Airport pickup service in Marakesh was good –driver did not speak English but it did not prove to be a problem. Overall, our stays in 4 riads in the medinas were great, although varying somewhat with quality. Local English speaking tour guides were good and we learned a lot about Morocco culture and history (however they were not as knowledgeable about the history as guides we had in Portugal/Spain). We canceled our last guide in Rabat simply because by then we had seen enough of similar medinas, casbahs, palaces, souks, tangines, Jewish quarters, mosques, etc. The highlight for us was the desert experience with camel ride and tent, and of course the short immersion in a culture unfamiliar to us. We enjoyed the food but after a while there seemed a lot of repetition in the tourist-targeted food. All in all, a beautiful country with very friendly people!
The worst parts:
Our ‘English speaking’ driver proved to be an excellent driver in the often challenging road conditions, reliable, encouraged us to go anywhere we wanted, good suggestions and with a sense of humour. However his English was rather limited and he could not carry a conversation which was disappointing (for example he could not comprehend our question about what the sign on the white van ahead of us meant) which reduced the value of our experience somewhat. It was obvious that he had a financial interest in anything we bought along the way, but it was not an issue. Only on the last day did it seem a bit strange when his lunch stop for the Casablanca 'corniche' was a dirty place not even facing the ocean and then for some reason he insisted on dropping us off in the airport terminal parking adjacent to our terminal, rather than simply in front of our terminal.
Brahim
Dear Michael, Thank you very much for your precious feedback and for taking the time to share it with me. It really helps me a lot to hear about my travelers' travel experience and also their feeling about all my services and providers. It was a great honor for me being here arranging all needed services. Regarding the driver, I really wish you mentioned it to me when we called about your decision to cancel the guide in Rabat. I clearly asked how was the trip and you confirmed to me that everything is going great. The reason why I am here for you 24h/7days is to take care of your trip in order to make sure you experience all the best in my country. Maybe you felt like you will let me know later on, but I always prefer to intervene when my travelers are still in the decision to make it to them; I will make sure my provider is informed and evaluate all the process with the driver. Please keep in touch, my door is always open to you, your family and your friends. All the best, Brahim

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we felt cared for, everyone wanted us to enjoy the trip and get the most out of it. The manager of the riad in Marrakesh wanted to ensure we got the most out of his beautiful city and our driver through out the trip wanted to ensure we saw as much as possible and felt safe and secure at all times. The itinary was well thought out and well planned.
The best parts:
The fact that it was altered to suit our needs slightly, the day before our departure we were contacted by Brahim, the local agent who altered our Riad in Marrakesh as the one we were booked into was having problems with their water supply. The trip into the Sahara and the night in Imlil were fantastic
The worst parts:
Immigration at Marrakesh airport, the queue was backing up into arrivals, they were selling fast track passes but these ended up taking longer than the standard queue, all of this was well over 2 hours. Our paperwork said the driver would wait 90 minutes but we were unable to get hold of the company. Luckily the drivers know how bad it is so they wait.
Brahim

I researched highlights of Morocco and made contact with Brahim online. He promptly called me and we spoke easily. He helped me with distances to create the best tour within our time frame without being rushed. We started in Rabat, to Fez, Meknes including Volubulis. After our return from the desert camp, we chose to stay a day and overnight at Dar Hassan. The owner arranged for one of his staff to give us a walking tour of the town and oasis. They were just great people, full of kindness. That one day stay made the long ride to Dades the next day even more enjoyable. After Dades we continued on to Marrakesh and then a few days in Essouira where we were both surprised with an upgraded room courtesy of Brahim to celebrate our anniversaries and 35 years of friendship. The rooms were spectacular and the view was beautiful. Something we'll never forget. Our tour ended when our fabulous driver (who we said goodbye to in Marrakesh) surprised us in Essouria to take us to Casablanca. Was so wonderful to see our 'Mo' again! Thank you again Brahim for making the trip so wonderful. ♥
The best parts:
It was very easy to work with Brahim in making the trip exactly as we wanted. All the people associated with Evanoes were prompt, knowledgeable and very friendly. The Moroccan people were very welcoming and made the trip for us. We are planning on returning to visit Northern Morocco and will definitely contact Evanoes to help with the planning. It was wonderful and relaxing to have the few days in between the tours to wander and explore on our own.
The worst parts:
The number of motorcycles inside the Medina in Marrakesh.
Brahim
Salam my dear Terrey, Thank you very much for sharing your very valuable feedback with me. It's a great honor for me to read how much you loved my beautiful country and the services I arranged and selected for you. This is the feeling I always ensure my travelers (or better say my dear friends) feel while they are traveling in Morocco. As you mentioned the local people are very special and always there to make you feel you are in your second home! Is not it? The photos you shared with us are enough to show the happiness in your eyes. So, I have no doubts about how your unique travel experience will help my future travelers to better understand the hidden surprises I have waiting for them. But, also for you of course as we still have a lot to explore together! I'll always be here at your side because I really love being your local travel specialist and in charge of your travel wishes. I found out about Evaneos through a co-worker who happened to go to Morocco a week after we decided to visit Morocco for our honeymoon. We had a two week vacation. The day after our wedding we landed in Casablanca, and headed straight for Rabat via private van provided by Evaneos where we stayed for two days. Next we traveled to Chefchaouen for two days. We flew out of Tangier to Ibiza for four days (a trip booked separately) and returned to Morocco the following Monday and traveled to Fes. We stayed in Fes for two days, then headed to the Sahara where we stayed one night in a beautiful desert camp. We spent a night in Ait Ben Haddou and visited Ouarzazate on our way to Marrakech for the final two nights of our trip. We hiked to see the waterfalls of Akchour in Chefchaouen. We rode camels in the Sahara and took a hot air balloon ride over the Atlas Mountains outside of Marrakech.
The best parts:
Everything! The planning for this trip could not have been smoother or well prepared and executed. Our drivers were always prompt, as well as our guides. Our guides were very knowledgeable and able to communicate well with us. Brahim was amazing, very easy to reach with questions and his response time was always very quick. Most importantly everyone was very flexible. Our flights throughout our entire were being constantly changed by the airlines and each time, Brahim and the group at Evaneos was very flexible and accommodating.
The worst parts:
I wish we could have stayed in some of the cities longer but this was not the fault of Evaneos but ours since we did a separate trip to Ibiza in the middle of our vacation to Morocco. I am only adding this to let other interested people to know that if you plan on visiting another place outside of the planned trip with Evaneos like us, perhaps it would be better to visit just few cities to cut down on a lot of traveling/transport time, and allow for a better/longer experience in the Moroccan cities.
Brahim
Hello to you both! :) I would like to thank you deeply in my heart for taking the time to share your feedback with me which is very valuable for me and also for my future travelers. It has been a great honor to be your local agent in my beautiful homeland especially to make sure it's a lifetime honeymoon trip. For your remark about staying in some of the cities longer, that could be the reason to come back again together in the future because Morocco is a mysterious country and hides lots for you every time you come. You are always welcome and I & my team are here at your side. Please never hesitate to reach out to me whenever you need me (not only for work); we are friends now, right :) All the best, Brahim

Our trip was truly magical. Morocco is an enchanting country. The people couldn't have been warmer or kinder. The scenery is unparalled, from the desert to the palmeries, to the mountains. The cities, Fes and Marrakech are like stepping back in time. Wandering around the medina, staying in beautiful riads..... And the food, the food was terrific. Morocco has a very spiritual feel to it, the call to prayer, the beauty of the mosques and minarets, the desert itself. But it's the people that really made the trip special.
The best parts:
We loved it all, Fes, the desert, the mountains, Marrakech...... it was all fantastic. Even the drives, which were long at times, were spectacular. We saw the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen in the desert, it was truly amazing.
The worst parts:
There wasn't anything we didn't like. Some of the drives were a bit long but our driver was wonderful. The only thing I would have changed is leaving a bit earlier as we got to our riads/hotels late in the evening a few times.
Brahim
My friend Mark, Good morning, I hope you had a great weekend. Our trip was based on three locations. 1. A Riad in the Medina of Marokech - very comfortable. 2. We had a car and excellent English speaking driver for 3 days to drive from Marakech through the High Atlas and Sahara to Taroudant 3.We had two day in Taroudant where we stayed in hotel Dar Zitoune and toured the Medina. 4. We then drove to Essaouira and stayed in a Riad in the Medina. We rode horses and quad bikes over the dunes.
The best parts:
Excellent local agent whose detailed planning and conversations with us made it a truly memorable experience. Everyone we met in shops, restaurants, souks, hotels were very friendly and helpful.
The worst parts:
If OAPs wish to stay in the beautiful medina riads then they need warning about the stairs - they may be best accommodated on the ground floor.
Brahim
