Akihabara is the area most known for its manga, anime and electronic shops...

My suggestion:
If you dislike all that has to do with mangas and video games, go your way. If not, this is THE area to look for old video games, find a figurine, a manga artwork or try a maid café during a trip to Japan..
My review

You will find many second-hand shops in Akihabara, be it for video games or all types of collector items, all of it in an almost brand new state. The packaging is almost always the original one. Take some time to rummage about in the shops, and do not hesitate to ask the shop assistant if you are searching for something in particular.

Maid cafés are plentiful in Akihabara, where young girls dressed up as maids are posted outside the cafés to hand out flyers and lure customers in. In general, they refuse to be photographed. However, if you do go to the café, young ladies will serve you dishes, drinks and desserts, and should you wish it, will cut up your food or play cards with you. In general, you will leave with a Polaroid souvenir of you with one of the waitresses. The masculine equivalent, butler cafés, also exists.
