Shimbashi, or Shinbashi, is a district situated between Ginza and Shidome, to the east of the Tsuki-ji fish market.

My suggestion:
Shinbashi is a good place to find a restaurant or an izakaya, but is not particularly interesting from the point of view of tourism.
My review

There's an enormous number of buildings in this recent district. Don't hesitate to go there if you're a fan of modern architecture! Many Japanese companies have their headquarters there. You will also find all kinds of boutiques, shopping centres and a wide choice of restaurants there.

Shimbashi Station is a historical place, as it was built in the 19th century as the terminus of the first railway between Yokohama and Tokyo. Even though the place disappeared during the great Kanto earthquake, the facade has been rebuilt. There is a museum that traces the history of the district and the station.

From Shimbashi, you can go to Ginza with its luxury boutiques, or to the Tsuki-ji fish market on the opposite side, to enjoy delicious fresh sushi.
