Cerro Arenales is a 3,400 m high mountain in the heart of the Andes.

My suggestion:
If you want to explore the Andean countryside then take a 2 day trek to Cerro Arenales. Don't worry if you're not particularly sporty, the trek is not designed for sports fanatics.
My review

It's about 100 km from Mendoza, right in the middle of the Andes mountains which separate Argentina from Chile, to Cerro Arenales. From its summit there is a magnificent panorama over the arid region of Mendoza and its surroundings.

If you want to explore the Andean countryside and wild life then I recommend you do a two day trek in Vallecitos where you can combine walking and exploring the local plant and animal life.

You're not much of a climber? No panic, the trek to Cerro Arrenales is very easy and everyone can go at their own pace. In our group we had both teenagers and seniors. A walk for everyone, whether you are 7 or 77!
