At an altitude of 4,058 m, Monte San Valentín dominates the southern Andes. It's one of the highest mountains in South America and the highest in Chilean Patagonia.

My suggestion:
The best period to go to Laguna San Rafael to see Mount San Valentin is between December and March.
My review

At an altitude of more than 4,000 m Monte San Valentín is the highest point of the southern Andes. To be able to see it you have to go to Laguna San Rafael National Park, where you will find the magnificent lake of the same name, in Chile.

In order to explore the marvels of the Aysen region you can get a boat from Puerto Cachabuco or Puerto Aysen. Laguna San Rafael National Park is a dreamlike landscape of glaciers, fjords, rivers, lakes and forest that is also a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, It also houses a huge part of the north Patagonian ice field.

Behind the icebergs, Laguna San Rafael and the San Rafael Glacier. are dominated by Mount San Valentin. Its white peak seems to pierce the sky. The only noise that breaks the silence of this enchanting place is the sound of ice falling into the lake.
