Olympos is situated on the Mediterranean coast. The city was conquered by the Romans, Venetians and Genoese, all of whom left their mark. But it's the landscape and sea that makes the place so worthwhile.
My suggestion
From May onwards the sea's warm. Aim to go at the start of the summer season, so as to make the most of this natural paradise.

When you visit Olympos take advantage of the opportunity to stay overnight in a tree house.
