Lovers of historical sites will adore Aspendos, an ancient Greco-roman city containing one of the best preserved ancient theaters in Turkey.

My suggestion:
It's best to spend the day there and picnic on higher ground at midday, surrounded by natural countryside and with breathtaking views out over the site.
My review
Staying in Antalya meant I was located quite close to the magnificent site known as Aspendos. I advise going there on a day trip and returning to spend the night in Antalya in the evening. Aspendos is an absolutely exceptional site: an ancient Greco-Roman city composed of very beautiful, and very numerous, architectural remnants and ruins – aqueduct, theater, the remains of a basilica, etc. – located out in the middle of the countryside.
