Selcuk is a major historical town which desreves better than to be used as a springboard for visiting Ephesus.

My suggestion:
If you are staying in Selcuk, why not go to the wonderful Turkish baths where you can have some traditional treatments in magnificent surroundings.
My review
Too often used as a springboard, or base camp, for the neighboring site of Ephesus , Selcuk is a town of exceptional historical importance, which despite its relatively small size has a lot of amazing historical sites. Let's begin with the Basilica of St John the Baptist, who came from Selcuk, and who is buried under the building. There are also the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the world, or the fortress which dominates the town below, or several mosques which are nearly a thousand years old.
