Reviews of Lac Kivu

Lake Kivu, a vast stretch of water that borders the whole western side of the country, that you simply cannot miss while on a trip to Rwanda . Rubavu, Karongi and Cyangugu are the main cities.

My suggestion:
To discover the beauty of Lake Kivu, travel across some or all of the Congo Nile Trail on foot or by bicycle An extraordinary experience awaits you.
My review

It was by travelling cross the Congo Nile Trail from Rubavu to Karongi that I got to appreciate and discover the lake in such a lovely way. An experience that was rich both in its resources and its appreance, there's so much to see along the way (scenery, wildlife, tea and coffee farming).

From the volcanoes of Virunga Park in the north to Nyungwe National Park in the south , Kivu offers surprising landscapes and shows considerable local activity.

Along its shores on foot or by bicycle, by boat or a by swimming, I thoroughly enjoyed discovering this lake as it gives a freshness to an otherwise very hilly country.
