I stopped by the Peljesac peninsula during my trip to Korkula. To get there, you need to go far from the main road, so this means the place is a lot less touristy than the rest of Dalmatia. Aside from a stopover in Ston to see and walk along the fortress, I went to Orebic on the other side of the peninsula to revel in the charm and calmness of the area, between beaches and vines. What is more Peljesac has many vineyards located along the road, where you can stop to taste the local produce.
From Orebic, a boat goes as far as Korcula, the town is visible from the port and the shuttle boat covers the distance very quickly. If you go there on foot, you arrive directly in the centre of town and it is absolutely possible to visit the town during the day and return by boat a few hours later. The peninsula is also home to many creeks, usually pebbly or rocky ones.
