The southernmost region of Croatia, Konavle is home to magnificent landscapes, ranging from sea to mountain.

My suggestion:
If you decide to spend a bit of time in the region of Konavle, a trip to neighbouring Montenegro is a must, so bring your passports!
My review

In my opinion, Konavle is an astonishingly underrated region of Croatia. Neglected in favour of the neighbouring city of Dubrovnik or used merely as a way to access Montenegro, the region has managed to keep a charm and authenticity that is sometimes difficult to find on the Croatian coast.

During my stay in Croatia, I visited Cavtat, the capital of the region of Konavle, and stayed there for a few days, which enabled me to explore the region more extensively. Ideal for its beaches—which are much less frequented than those in the rest of the country—and for its many little deserted inlets, Konavle is also of note for its countryside, with incredible walks up the massif that rises towards the Bosnian border.

A border region off the beaten tracks, Konavle is also one of the most opulent areas in Croatia.
