A magnificent coastal city, Rovinj and its historic centre, which has the highest clock tower in Istria as its dominating feature, receives thousands of visitors each year.

My suggestion:
As with many destinations in Croatia, try to avoid coming here at the height of summer if you possibly can. This will give you the chance to enjoy the beauty of the city and its various attractions to the full without having to share the pleasure with thousands of other tourists.
My review

Rovinj really is a delightful place: an old city surrounded by the sea and dominated by a magnificent church, enchanting little streets, and a central square with a host of fresh fish and seafood restaurants located all around it. This really is a wonderful destination to visit when in Croatia, and all the more so when you consider that the area around the city has beautiful turquoise seas and glorious little beaches sheltered by the shade from the neighbouring forest to offer.

As with all destinations in Croatia however, all this does not come without a price: you will not be the only ones visiting the city when you come here! If the crowds get too much for you, however, you can always get away from it all for a few hours by visiting some of the exquisite neighbouring villages, where things are a little more quiet and peaceful. The village of Bale, just a few miles away, is one such example.
