Trip review
Bhutan

Kate
Kate
loved their trip to Bhutan

I had planned to travel west to east and leave for India at the border but had a change of plan and retraced east to west to fly from Paro and that worked out even better. By moving across I gig to see the main cities of Paro and Thimphu as well as the small villages in the east where the way if life is totally different. The homestay was a great chance to see a real working Bhutanese home so I'd recommend that to anyone.

Best parts:
The climb up to Tigers Nest was hard work without having acclimatised to the altitude (my fault for having it at the beginning of the trip) but well worth the effort, the views are stunning. The views across Bhutan are stunning! I'm pleased I travelled into the east of the country, I think those who didn't missed out and getting to see the mask dance festival was a real bonus. The hotels were all fantastic, as were the stop off points in between. My guide and driver were also wonderful and a great help.
Worst parts:
There's nothing at all I didn't enjoy.
