A small village located between the Kruger National ParK in Mpumalanga on the east and Johannesburg on the west. It is known for its main activity: fly-fishing, which is practised in numerous surrounding rivers.

My suggestion:
Go there is you are a fishing fanatic, but if not, move on!
My review

I didn't find anything special in Dullstroom, frequented by too many elderly people and fishermen for my taste. All the shops are dedicated to fly-fishing! However, there is a small reserve nearby where you can go for a stroll, the Verloren Vallei Nature Reserve. In spring you will see lots of flowers there, a multitude of birds in the summer and lots of mushrooms in autumn. You might be lucky enough to see a blue crane, an iconic bird of South Africa.

However in winter, it appears that it's too cold because the village is situated at more than 2,000m altitude. Stopping off in Dullstroom isn't interesting, but you can go past it on the route to the Blyde River Canyon when coming from the N4 from Johannesburg, it's the fastest and most pleasant access point. I recommend a stop at the Historical Rose Cottage on the roadside, a good local restaurant that makes its own homemade bread.
