Reviews of Kruger National Park

Located at about six hours from Johannesburg by road (it's also possible to get there by plane), Kruger is THE national park to visit in South Africa.

My suggestion:
Try to be there at sunrise and/or sunset if possible. The chances of seeing the animals is higher.
My review

It's impossible to even consider organising a trip to South Africa without including Kruger National Park on the itinerary.

There are large numbers of animals at Kruger and you'll have a golden opportunity to see the Big Five there. The park also offers different kinds of landscapes across its extent, from its south to its north, and through its central part. Due to Its immense size it feels calm and peaceful, despite the large numbers of visitors. Though it's normally very expensive to stay at accommodation inside the park, this cost can be reduced by booking a place at one of the camp sites well in advance.

In addition to the classic safari in a specially equipped vehicle, I also recommend going on one of the walks accompanied by a ranger. It's a once in a lifetime experience.

The Kruger National Park is a South African game reserve. Its entire 20,000 km² is protected and monitored by game wardens. Thanks to this, it's home to an amazing variety of African wildlife.

My suggestion:
Keep your eyes open and take your time. You'll spot rare animals at the least expected moment!
My review
I've visited the Kruger Park twice. And didn't at any time get bored of it! The first time, I went to the Limpopo River and woody areas at the north of the park. I saw a lot of elephants and deer, including the amazing kudu , along with the more common warthogs, zebra etc. I wanted to camp, so each evening we bedded down in established campsites.
