Lying 50 km from Johannesburg, Pretoria, with its peaceful town feel, is actually South Africa's de facto capital.

My suggestion:
In contrast to its neighbour Johannesburg, the interesting places to see in Pretoria are all located close to each other. Take advantage of the relative safety of this city to explore it on foot.
My review

Though Pretoria is not one of South Africa's essential tourist destinations, it's still an interesting city in which to spend a day.

After experiencing the huge megalopolis of Johannesburg, Pretoria feels like a peaceful provincial town. Is it a haven of peace? No, that would be an exaggeration. During the daytime, however, the streets are safe enough to walk down. And as you look around, I recommend spending a little time at the very lively and busy Church Square, or, if you're looking for more peace and quiet, the gardens of the Union Buildings. With the Pretoria Art Museum, the Transvaal Museum and the National Cultural History Museum all to visit, lovers of museums will be in their element.

In conclusion, Pretoria is a good place for a short, relaxing break between visits to other places.
