A series of turquoise-coloured waterfalls located a few kilometres from the famous archaeological site of Palenque.
My suggestion:
Avoid going between August and November, when the site loses some of its splendour due to the rains, which turn the water muddy.
My review
Chiapas is definitely one of my favourite regions. It has an enormous amount of things to see and discover, whether that's in terms of architecture, culture, or, of course, the countryside and natural environment. If you decide to include this area as a place to visit on
your trip to Mexico, you will undoubtedly end up going to the ancient Mayan site of Palenque, which lies surrounded by jungle and is truly worth the trip to see.
