Anja Community Reserve is a small protected zone covering an area of about 74 acres and is managed by a village association south of Ambalavao.

My review

You must make a detour to discover this if your Madagascan itinerary takes you along national route 7 that leads from the capital to the south-west of the island.

Accompanied by a local guide, the walk in the reserve allows you to explore the magnificent landscapes of the region. The bright green of the rice paddies forms a striking contrast with the yellow of the grass and impressive mountains tower above the visitor.

Anja Community Reserve is also an excellent opportunity to discover the Lemur catta , the famous lemurs with the black and white ringed tail. Here, the animals are used to the presence of humans and do not hesitate to pose for the camera.
