East of Jordan, a unique, rich heritage.

My suggestion:
Take water with you, it's hard to stock up along the way.
My review

I devoted a day to visiting the desert castles by car, it was magical. The journey itself reveals miles of arid areas with barely any habitation. I felt like I was in another world.

The visits were quite different. My favourite was without doubt the Qasr Amra, it fascinated me. Lost in the middle of nowhere, the interior design with its frescos is breathtaking, it's magnificent. One part of the site was being restored at that time, so I was able to observe the detailed work of artists. I also enjoyed the amount of comprehensive information and explanations, and in French!

Even if some of the sites were a lot less interesting because they were poorly documented, I enjoyed casually walking in the ruins, immersing myself in discovering this unique heritage during my trip to Jordan.

I didn't come across a single other tourist during the day, which made the experience all the more powerful.
