Reviews of Snaefellsnes National Park

A beautiful park located at the tip of the peninsula with the same name, towered over by Snaefellsjökull glacier, which was chosen by Jules Verne as the departure point for his "Journey to the Centre of the Earth".

My suggestion:
Allow at least 1 to 2 days to discover the large variety of scenery and beautiful hikes which are possible there.
My review

I must confess that the Snaefellsnes peninsula is one of my favourite places, due to its proximity to the sea and the beauty of its landscapes.

And it's on the tip of this peninsula, in the National Park, where the most beautiful natural sites are certainly to be found. I love to stroll on the deserted beaches of Djupalon, go to the orange lighthouses of Öndverdarnes or even walk amongst the black lava stones, which are like coal.

The glacier is never very far away and recently it seems that the most sporty travellerscan take a trip on its frozen slopes.

In Snaefellsnes National Park, I saw seals, walked on a beach of golden sand and admired the waves crashing against the cliffs on the coast.
