Comfortable bed. Friendly and welcoming people everywhere you went. Great food. Plenty to see and do. Bus transfer system works perfectly.
The best parts:
The visit to the secret lagoon. The food. The friendly people.
The worst parts:
The weather causing a couple of trips to be cancelled (cant be helped). The cost of a beer.

Hi Steve. Thank you very much for your positive reviews and comments. I really appreciate it and I’m so pleased to see that you liked the program, food and people while here. Its a shame the weather interrupted your stay a little bit, but I’m glad we found alternatives and fun activities for you to do instead. I hope we´ll see you again in Iceland one day and possibly in the summer when the weather is a bit nicer, and I’d be happy to share some tips on happy hours and nice bars with reasonable beer prices :) All the best, Gunnar

We really enjoyed the Ice Cave tour on the southern coast. It was a sunny day and you could see for miles from the top. Our guide Kiddee was part mountain goat and had us climbing all over.
The best parts:
Everything went flawlessly. No issues, no drama, just fun. Every tour was better than expected. We saw Northern Lights three times!
The worst parts:
The flight!

Thank you very much for your great feedback and kind words. 5 star all around! :) I really appreciate it and it helps us grow as local travel experts. Your photos are absolutely beautiful, and I´m so pleased to see that you enjoyed the Ice Caving tour so much. It was a pleasure to work with you and organize this tour for you and you friends, and I hope to see you again one day in Iceland, perhaps during the warmer months :) All the best, Gunnar

The country was stunning, and we saw northern lights, so we were still happy to go. But there are too many tourists now, even in October, and the parkings are too small to welcome them. I wouldn't recommend the destination unless the person would really want to see the landscapes.
The best parts:
The Icelandair hotels were all great, it was relaxing to have the nights and breakfasts booked in advance.
The worst parts:
The Fosshotel in Nupar had a bug on our mattress so we got a better room, but my parents' one wasn't up to the comfort standard requested. I emailed our agent for an upgrade at the Fosshotel in Reykjavik as my parents had a first night in a dirty room with plastic bathroom. He said he wrote to them but they never received his email, and we had to paid extra to have correct rooms. The agent never told us the tunnel in Akureyri and the parkings at the national parks weren't free, so we got a fine. The upgrade Budget gave us for the car wasn't free either, they never told my parents and tricked us to spend more. It couldn't even hold 4 suitcases so we weren't comfortable on the road. The food was way too expensive and not good. The agent copy-pasted an itinerary we could have done ourselves just following the road, and your agency got a lot of money for little investment. We won't take Evaneos again, and won't recommend either, booking.com and maps are enough.

Hi Cecile, On the positive side, I am happy you liked the country, the landscape and sightseeing that Iceland is offering, and that you saw the northern lights. On the less positive side, I am sorry to hear you had a problem with Fosshotel Nupar and Fosshotel Baron in Reykjavik. I did contacted Fosshotel Baron Reykjavik via email and phone, and what they said was that they will offer an update according to available rooms, and that is what I also wrote to you. I'm sorry to hear they didn't follow what they said, and we will learn from this experience about working with this specific hotel in the future. I am also sorry I haven't mentioned the parking in the national parks, as there are usually large signs at the entrance that tells about that. Your itinerary was personally made for your requests and your trip, and the multi day trip part is the description of the trip by the tour operators, that is a partner company that we work with. I hope you will mostly remember the positive parts of the trip, and I am really sorry again that things didn't go as smooth as they usually go on our trips. All the best, Lee

Very nice trip, we were lucky with the weather and the google maps itinerary were so pratical to have! that was a REALLY great service from Nika. All guest houses were good enough, Only one was on the low side: The Stundafriöur cottage, it was really small, we had to make the beds for the kids and the cartains were minimal so we had a lot of light! The BEST guest house was Sÿslo in Stykkishólmur both room and breakfast were GREAT!
The best parts:
the hikes in Porsmörk nature reserve, the horse-riding in Snaefellsnes Peninsula, and the walk on Raudisandur beach
The worst parts:
no worst....

Dear Claire, I appreciate your time to write a nice feedback for our local agency. Hiking in Þórsmörk, horseback riding in Snæfellsnes and Rauðisandur beach in West fjords are my personal favourites too! I'm happy you had a good weather and could fully enjoy your Icelandic trip. It is also good to get feedback on accommodation so we know which guesthouses are worth cooperating with and which ones we should avoid in the future - thanks for that! I hope you will return to Iceland one day and use again our local agency to prepare your trip :) Your agent from Iceland - Nika

We saw many great sites, got to hike and as mentioned before , loved the heavier hike. We really enjoyed Blue Lagoon, secret lagoon, and best we liked Krauma
The best parts:
How well planned Nika made the trip. While we enjoyed so much, we probably liked the glacier hike the best. We had to change dates and Nika took care of it right away and while in Iceland, Nika again helped us change itinerary and did an amazing job
The worst parts:
A lot of driving but that was what I asked for. Didn’t love Islandair hotel in Reykjavik

I have already told several people about Evaneos and Gunnar in particular. We will book with Evaneos again!
The best parts:
We had an amazing trip. Great hotels and activities. We especially enjoyed kayaking, white water rafting and glacier climbing.
The worst parts:
One hotel was just not up to par. The staff was surly at best, the room wasn't clean and the food in the restaurant was mediocre.
Klemens
Hi Susan. Thank you very much for your wonderful feedback and comments. Your photos are worthy of being in a travel magazine, they are so impressive :) I´m sorry to hear that one of the hotels did not match your expectations, and it´s something that I will consider for the future. All the best, Gunnar

• Grateful to have everything arranged for us from rental car which was easy to pick up and drop off- to having accommodations all set for each night and highlights and tours chosen and reserved. Thank you ! Very difficult to chose pictures as there are so many 1st pix- hiking up to Glymur Falls 2nd- enjoying taste of glacier 3rd- glacier - up close on boat with very knowledgable and friendly guide-Vatnajokull glacier 4th- walking behind the roaring falls at Seljalandsfoss 5th - getting a nice soaking from falls -Skogarfoss 6th- everywhere beautiful lava fields
The best parts:
• Glymur hike was voted the best by the 3 of us. Sorry we learned about the geo thermal spring nearby after we had left the area. • History and geology of the Tectonic plate region. • Falls that you can walk behind. • Secret Lagoon • L***** hotel was voted best hotel with a very pleasant manager and great breakfast. • Lava museum- good on rainy day • Folk museum- good when tired from hiking • Settlement Museum in Reykjavik • The overall beauty of ever changing lava rocks- from moss covered fields to black lava rock sculptures - to the coastal lava rock
The worst parts:
•Weather- rain almost every day •Some hotels that were noisy- b&b near airport was particularly loud- although beds were comfy we couldn't sleep because of noise. We were sorry you had not booked us back in the L*** for our last night as there was really no reason for us to be near the airport as we were not scheduled to leave until 4:45 and spent the day in Reykjavik •Expense of food • day #7 - kind of boring- lots of driving - not very interesting sights noted to stop at -
Klemens
Hi Kathleen. Thank you very much for your positive feedback, and I´m very happy to read that you enjoyed the country and landscapes so much, despite the rain :) The hike to Glymur is something special, so I´m very pleased to hear that you enjoyed that so much. L*** is also a favourite of mine, and the owner is absolutely lovely. I´m sorry to read that you felt that the drive on Reykjanes peninsula was not worthwhile, and that you didn´t enjoy the BnB in Keflavik. I have not had this issue or comment on the BnB before, but its something that I will take into consideration next time :) All the best, Gunnar

My son and I wanted to see Iceland. We toured the Southwest Region and stayed in 3 different hotels. All of them were amazing. After our first night in Reykjavik we went to the Golden Circle and stayed in Fludir. Our excursions included a snorkel trip between the tectonic plates and a visit to the secret lagoon. The day after we explored different waterfalls, stopped at the Black Beach and stayed in a hotel close to Vik. From there we went to an ice cave, to the Diamond Beach and Glacier Lagoon. All these sights were amazingly beautiful. Another exciting excursion was our snowmobile trip on a Glacier above the volcano Katla. On the day of our departure we stopped at the Blue Lagoon for a little swim. The coordination and timing of the entire trip was well done and we could have not enjoyed it as much without Nika's help. Thank you!!
The best parts:
The entire trip was fantastic. The best was that everything was organized and well done by Nika. Every day was a pleasure. The hotels Nika chose were very nice. Tours were chosen nicely too.
The worst parts:
Nothing I did not like. Everything was great.

Hello Peter, I can't stop smiling when reading your nice feedback. I'm so happy to hear that everything went well during your trip! I hope you decide on coming back and let me prepare another great adventure for you, perhaps this time in the North of Iceland :) Warm regards, Your local travel expert Nika

1st day in Rejkyavik. Luckily in sunshine. Plenty to see. Hotel F*** B*** looked tired, breakfast room dark and cramped but staff were lovely and helpful and the room spacious and comfy with nice views. 2nd day Golden Circle. A handout would habe helped with names and background. So much of interest. Coach loads of tourista always disappointing but we knew and we are tourist too! Stops too brief. 3rd day afternoon lava tour. I couldnt go (youngest ill) but older 2 said it was ok. Felt a bit toiristy gimiky? Evening food tour by foor around d Rejkyavik. Excellent. Interesting guide, food delicious. Vege in party accomodatee. 4th day. 11 hour trip toouth for ice caves. Could have built in more time at Vik for lunch at nice cafe and time.on beach there. Ice caves fasinating buy different to those shown on the brochure. Stop to collect someone from glacier walk. Guide could have told us a 5 minute walk would give wonderful views of the glacier. Luckily I found it but those who didnt know.and styaied on bus really missed out. Airpot transfers v good. Could have done with another day in Rej to see more museums ans enjoy cafe scene. Also another visit to hot spring - just dont have them in uk! Have rec to friends local agent v helpful. Will return to see more. Airport lovely.
The best parts:
Interesting info on Iceland from friendly guides as they drove us to sites. Being guided took the preasure off. Very beautiful sights we saw. Also food we had was really good quality
The worst parts:
The proliforation of tourist tat shops in Rejkyavik. Not knowing before the tour exactly what the day had in store (1 hour drive, coffee break, lunch around... with a selection of good cafe's/to be bpught from.supermarkwt, etc). On most tours the guides did not give a summary of the day ahead. Did not enjoy the super jeep - should habe been warned to expect bumpy offroad etc. A sheet of basic info especially names of waterfalls, etc. Hard to say and remember. A map?
Klemens
Hello Nic and Anne. Thank you very much for your positive and honest feedback on your tour. I´m very happy to hear that on the whole you enjoyed your time in Iceland, and that the food tour and the Icelandic landscapes left you with fond memories. It is true that some parts of Reykjavik and Iceland can feel a bit crowded with tourists, but its a positive and a negative as Iceland has been enjoying an exponential growth of incoming visitors in the past few years which has been great to the local population and economy. If asked, I would have been happy to prepare maps and more information for you, and I do that usually for a self-driving tour, but on guided group excursions I leave it to the operator and guide to explain the highlights and give information. I very much appreciate that you would recommend Iceland and my agency to your friends and family, and I hope that I can be of assistance to them to have a fabulous tour of Iceland. All the best, Gunnar
Andrew

Unfortunately we weren't able to see the northern lights, but the Golden circle (including secret lagoon) tour, south coast tour, Geysirs, walk in a glacier, waterfalls, food, and plenty of weather made for a very good holiday. Everybody we met was very friendly and we never felt out of place.
The best parts:
There were many highlights, the ones that really stand out are: - time spent in the secret lagoon. - the food tour - the journey to the ice cave in the all terrain vehicle. Overall I found the Icelandic guides really well informed, able to talk about many aspects of Icelandic culture from the education system, trolls and tectonic plates.
The worst parts:
There was a lot of travelling in minibuses and although the guides were good I would liked to have spent much longer at each attraction. I am a keen photographer and found that we had inadequate time to look not just for the obvious but the unusual (which is the key to turning a good photograph into a great one).
Klemens
Hi Andrew. Thank you very much for your kind comments and positive feedback. I´m very happy to see that you enjoyed the sights and activities so much, but it´s a shame about the Northern Lights and weather during your tour. You make a really good point about the pace of the guided tours, and how much time is spent at each place, but there are lots of things to see in a limited time so sometimes it may feel a bit rushed. I hope that this gives you an incentive to visit Iceland again one day to get those unusual and unique photo opportunities :) All the best, Gunnar

Hello Vivien, Thanks for taking time to write a few words about your Icelandic adventure. It's great to hear that you managed to see the Northern Lights, even though after a long time waiting. Snæfellsnes peninsula in the West of Iceland is my personal favourite so I totally understand that you loved it. I really like your pictures too! Warm regards, Your local agent Nika

Destination was Iceland and toured the south coast from Reykjavík. Accomodation was good and driving relatively easy despite wintry conditions. We packed a lot into 6days but had a great time.
The best parts:
Loved the beautiful scenery, very friendly people and seeing the northern lights.
The worst parts:

I loved everything about my trip. I explored Reykjavik, rode an Icelandic horse in the lava fields, went into a man-made tunnel through a glacier, saw waterfalls, the glacier lagoon, and went ice-caving. The Perlan Museum was superb as well.
The best parts:
Gunnar, our local agent, did such an excellent job working with me to customize an amazing and wonderful experience. The guides were all great - they all told interesting facts and stories about the places we were visiting and about Iceland in general. I had such a memorable time!
The worst parts:
The Northern Lights didn't make an appearance for me. I guess I will have to go back and try to see them again.
Klemens
Hi Lisa. It´s so wonderful to hear that you had such a great vacation. It´s a shame you didn´t see the Northern Lights but indeed it´s a reason to return :) All the best, Gunnar

Snowmobiling on the volcanic glacier and exploring the ice caves were our favourite activities, but we enjoyed them all! Horseback riding, glacier hiking, black sand beaches, waterfalls, Blue and Secret lagoons...Iceland was truly breathtaking and we got the very best of it.
The best parts:
Our company trip to Iceland was a massive success thanks to our wonderful travel agent Patrizia. She was so knowledgable about the country and had great suggestions for us, and was able to make alternate arrangements for us when we had requests for changes. She was always very quick to respond to my many messages and questions. From the moment we arrived in Iceland, everything was flawless - our accommodations were perfect, our activities were mind blowing and our wonderful driver/guide (Thruster! The man, the legend) made our trip so special. It was so nice to arrive to Iceland and have absolutely everything arranged for us - everything was on time and truly world-class.
The worst parts:
NOTHING! It was the greatest trip of our lives :)

Wow Stephanie...thank you so so much for your words of appreciation for my work, I'm almost embarassed, you really made my day! I loved working with you and help you planning a fantastic trip, but most of all it means a lot to me knowing that I helped you building lifetime memories in our amazing country. I have only one regret: not having had the chance to meet you guys in person! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all, your agent Patrizia
