The place is very popular because it is located at the foot of the Ring Road, which goes around the island.  For me, it is always an unmissable stopping place.</p> <p> <strong>Arriving at Skógafoss</strong>, I always stop to admire its wide curtain of water. To avoid the tourists that converge on the area and form colourful clusters, I take the stairs on the right that climb directly to the summit. From there, a magnificent view opens before me as a reward for my efforts. It is possible to prolong the walk along the river. I did, but not very far. I promise that next time I will go to the end—if there is an end!</p> <p>In any case, there are fewer people there than there are at the bottom! </p>
