Koh Ta Kiev is an untouched island that is protected from mass tourism. Perfect for a day trip, or longer, off the beaten path !

My suggestion:
Camping is permitted on Koh Ta Kiev! So don't forget to bring what you need for a night in the wild.
My review

There are very few buildings on this island which is still natural. So this is the place to go if you want to escape from mass tourism! Actually, most visitors go to the island of Koh Rong which is much more developed.

On Koh Ta Kiev there are only 3 or 4 places to stay but they are fairly high quality. You can also sleep in the trees - ideal for pretending to be Robinson Crusoe! Prices start at about £7 a night so are quite reasonable.

If you don't want to spend the night there you can also have a day excursion to go diving or snorkelling. The sea beds aren't particularly special but the water is turquoise and there are some beautiful fish.

What to do there: explore the seabeds, but also admire the large number of birds! After looking around I found there are paths marked which will take you on a walk to observe the different bird species.

Finally, please note that there is little, almost no, wifi on this island. It's the perfect place to get cut off from the world for a day, or longer if you like.
