After having explored Ushuaia, the town at the end of the world, during my <a href="/argentina/">trip to Argentina</a>, I set off again towards El Calafate in order to get to one of the most famous glacier parks in Argentina: Los Glaciares National Park. Obviously my main objective was to be able to admire the gigantic <a href="/argentina/">Perito Moreno glacier</a>, on Lake Argentino, but I was also able to explore other less well known glaciers that were well worth a visit. To make the most of the tranquil atmosphere of Argentine Patagonia I decided to take a cruise in a catamaran. I boarded at Punta Bandera. As well as the splendid glaciers I was lucky enough to see the majestic ballet of the Andes condors. The glaciers appeared a few minutes later on the limpid blue water of Lago Argentina: Upsalla, Spegazzini, and, the star, Perito Moreno.  I was bowled over by the beauty of these enormous icebergs. The only noise breaking the silence was when icebergs detached themselves from the glaciers. Just so you know, we were unable to resist doing the "Titanic pose" - standing on the prow of the catamaran with our arms wide open!
