Muang Boran literally means "ancient town"... It's a park deliberately shaped like Thailand, which aims to give you a tour of Thailand by bringing together in one spot reproductions of temples and famous sights from the all over the country.

My suggestion:
It's more practical and easier to rent a bike at the entrance to the park, because the park is quite large and walking round can take up too much time.
My review

Muang Boran is in the conurbation of Bangkok, to be precise, in the town of Samut Prakan. If you only have a little time to travel in Thailand then this is a good place to go. You will get an idea of what the country has to offer, but more when it comes to religious buildings and the various types of architecture, rather than the different types of scenery.

I used a bike to explore the park (known locally as "Ancient City"), whose owner also owns the Erawan museum, which is not far from there and which I also recommend.Thatday there was a lot of work going on but at least there weren't many people.I will probably have to go back to check that the park is well maintained.

I had a bit of a problem with the theme of the park. Given that most of the displays are genuine temples and places that you can see and visit in person I prefer the idea of going to see them for real rather than here, where they aren't ancient and they aren't full size. That is, apart from some reproductions that are based on designs because the actual buildings no longer exist, having been destroyed by wars or other disasters.

Nonetheless I had a pleasant day enjoying the calm and greenery not far from Bangkok.
