On first sight, I didn't really want to visit this national park. The landscapes consist of fir trees at the foot of the mountains, there's often mist. It reminded me a bit too much of the European Alps.
But eventually I loved this park because of the activities that can be done there as it is located at the mouth of the Storm River, and the professionals are well trained and supervise the groups with total safety. I tried rafting, canyoning, a tree top adventure course, and I even did the highest bungee jump in the world from the top of a giant bridge, thrill guaranteed! The main activity remains to be walking through the several paths that go between forest and beach.
You can also go to a beautiful isolated beach, very wild and sublime, for a change from the mountains. The youth hostels in the area are hippy and ecological, with a good atmosphere and music around the fireside every weekend.
