An ancient kasbah (or medina) in the middle of a magnificent valley: welcome to Assaka.

My suggestion:
If you can, visit the nearby city of Guelmim; it is quite entertaining and has a lot of atmosphere.
My review

Whether you are hiking or getting around by motor vehicle in the Assaka Valley, you will be able to find very small villages like Tajlalacht, Berkik and Berkou, for example. The inhabitants of this place raise goats and ewes; it is a place where you can truly discover Morocco away from the usual impersonal experience that is tourism.

In the middle of Assaka Valley, you can find a small village: an ancient kasbah called Assaka Village. This traditional small village has many plantations of date palms and palm trees. For these adobe houses that are so typical and characteristic of Morocco, time is at a standstill, and this gave me the opportunity to make the most of lovely moments of solitude.

In conclusion, if you are searching for a place where you can discover how Moroccans actually live, come face to face with nature and make the most of solitude, Assaka is the right place for you.
