Known anciently under the name of Rissani, this town situated in the middle of the desert is known for its production of dates and leather goods.

My suggestion:
Don't miss a visit to the ksars (trading houses) which are buildings which serve as a reminder of Morocco's splendid past.
My review

Moulay Ali Cherif, in ancient times, was the birthplace of legendary dynasties. Nowadays, it is being converted into an adventure destination, known for its excursions into the desert, camel rides...

Like in the rest of Morocco, the particular way of understanding business will either amaze or repulse you. As for me, I'm a lover of haggling, I really enjoyed buying things in the Moulay Ali Cherif market. You can find everything there: jewellery, spices, incredible leather products... The days when there is more going on are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

If it is clear that the town doesn't have great attractions like Marrakech or Tangier, it's certain that it still has its own particular charm. Its entrance is imposing, and impressed me. In short, a thoroughly recommended visit.
