The Tazegzaoute Valley is an excursion that I would advise you to take when you're staying in Morocco. It will give you the chance to explore the landscapes of the Anti Atlas ranges, particularly the oases, if you leave from Taroudant. Before you get to the Tazegzaoute Valley, you will cross a steppe plateau and the village of Abachkou, where a bridge leads directly to the valley.
The Tazegzaoute Valley is famous for its superb palm trees stretching as far as the eye can see - an oasis in all its splendour. The locals call it "the enchanted valley", like the happy valley of Aït Bou Guemmez. I enjoyed exploring this valley and the kasbahs of the Anti Atlas.
I recommend the Souk-Khemisse d’Issafen and the villages of Ighir N Ikherrazen and Guersif. I've heard about the Blue Men, but in the Tazegzaoute Valley, I met the Blue Women - Berbers who wear big veils of a gorgeous indigo blue.
