Situated on the plateau of the middle Atlas region, the delightful Berber city Sefrou reveals many well-hidden secrets.

My suggestion:
Every year for three days during June, Sefrou celebrates cherries! They're three days during which several shows are organised, including the election of Miss Cherry. This festival is on the list of UNESCO immaterial heritage.
My review

Located around twenty kilometres away from Fez, the small city of Sefrou has around 70,000 inhabitants and has a beautiful medina surrounded by recently renovated walls. It's a pleasure to walk there and lose yourself in its maze of lanes, even if the medina is incomparable in size to those in Fez or even Marrakesh. Having been the residence place of Moulay Idriss II during the construction of Fez as well as it having housed one of the most important Jewish communities in Morocco means that Sefrou has a rich history to discover.

During my trip to Morocco, I personally spent a few hours there, having arrived from Fez for the day, and I was really happy with my choice and so would recommend everybody to do as much!
